King Ash Bay trip

Post by Bushy »

Gday everyone, well finally did the trip over KAB with my old man and son after the cyclone nearly ended the trip.
Our trip was mainly based out around the islands for 6 days of great fishing in the mornings getting back to camp by 1pm to clean up and enjoy a few frothys.
We enjoyed the fishing out around the pellow islands more than the river system as we only saw one other boat for the 6 days we were out there, where when we got back into the river it was like peak hr traffic, so not my cup of tea and we spent 2 days stuffing around in the river with no luck with the barras.
But all up a great trip well worth doing again some time.

Enjoyed a good feed of crab too, basically lived off the sea while we were out there.

Also just want to give a big thanks to the fellas on this forum who helped me out with tips before my trip. Im not a big fisherman as im a farmer and dont get out much so was great that theres people still out there that are prepared to help people out that dont get out fishing that often.
