If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Took my step son out to SWA on Sunday and the blue salmon were busting up. Got the odd small one but most were between 50 - 60cm to the fork and 60 - 70cm to the tip of the tail. Great fun on lures and they were busting up for over 3 hours, even destroyed my old faithful classic lure.

Took a mate to SWA on Tuesday and it was very quiet, just a couple more blue salmon. Tides a bit too neap with only 0.6m of movement.

... then went back a few days later, still on the spring tides ... lost a good size GT after a 5 min. fight, but then landed another decent skinny not too long after, which eased the pain somewhat ...

Fished Dundee yesterday on a mates boat, good mixed bag of snapper, trout, cod, trickies, spanish and spotted mackeral, mack tuna, trevally and a small cobia, mostly on vibes and jigs, was plenty of big turtles about and a whale that cruised past.

I reckon it's because of the full moon Lats. Fishing during the daylight anyway.
