Had some fun with my step son at the Perons, very windy but still managed to get a few nice fish.

Re: Fotofish - July 2018 thread
Went for a long slow troll around the block on Saturday intending to catch a Mack for the Brag Mat Comp.
First hook up I thought I had a contender but the bugger had a smile only its mother could admire!
After negotiating all the sharp bits I tried to swim it on the gaff but it wasn't playing so now I had some fresh bait.
Second hook up was a small Spotted Mack that had eyes bigger than its belly and took the lure at 10kph.
With fresh bait I decided to go and fish the wrecks for an hour and landed on the Twin Hulls for a few bust offs and a 3.2kg Black Spot for dinner.

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

I think this guy got a little lost, got him on the reef about 15kms off of point Jenny on Monday. Fishing very quiet, tides were a bit too neap but thought I'd take advantage of the break in the wind.
