You may already be aware, but just wanted to confirm NLC 115th FCM resolution that the requirement for a permit to access Aboriginal owned tidal waters has been waived 6 months to 31 December 2017.
NLC will release the relevant public communications shortly, similar to the beginning of this year. These will include a public notice in the NT News and a factsheet and map. All will be uploaded on the NLC web page for the public to access. NLC will also release a new issue of the Sea country News flyer to hand out at community meetings to let TOs know. Those communications will be circulated shortly.
Please refer any media questions relating to this decision to Murray McLaughlin.
Please do not hesitate to contact Lorrae or Dom for any updates, questions or other.
