aRobbo , try having a go on big spring tides 7mt plus at dawn or dusk .
I prefer the dawn tides . Live baits work well as do poppers off the beach .
GTs, Brassie's Macks and skinnies all hit the area during the dry.
cheers

Re: Lee pt GT's 15/4
Hi Jeffish,
I'm thinking of having a go at lee point tomorrow morning on the big tide. I'm thinking of using poppers and metal slugs, how far out are usually the trevally? Hoping to get onto one
Thanks mate

Mate they can be in as close as 5mts , just watch for any surface action they move around very fast and a lot depends on the amount of baitfish and where they are trying to escape . If you got 2 good spin rods have them set up popper and a metal slug or use the quick change clips .Dreamrider- wrote:Hi Jeffish,

Hey mate
I'm super jealous of the gees
Iv been trying to find some for quite some time and only ever have run ins with queenies
I went for a drive and sused lee point yesterday
Where abouts is the hot spot ?
I was there at low tide and the beach looks pretty flat
Do you all fish to the left or right of the rocks ?
Hopefully I run into you sometime down there !
Tight lines all.

It's good that you have seen the beach at low tide , but it does change with each spring tide . Sand gets dumped in and also pulled out , I've seen the levels change dramatically over a week . There is no real hot spot on the beach because they hunt the bait . But if you check the beach out the day before and see if there is some gutters these are the best spots to lob a livie into .Jesus97 wrote:Hey mate

Guys I can't take you by the hand and say stand on this spot to catch fish . It's like any new fishing spot , get down there on low tides to suss it out . I like 7mt plus tides dawn and dusk , but it doesn't always fire up .
Last car park ,walk over to the beach and start casting or baiting . The gutter between the two sets of rocks has the best action .
Cheers and good luck , thanks for viewing my post .
