Posting Rods Overseas

Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Posting Rods Overseas

Post by hottuna »

G'day Guys,
What's the best way to go about sending a rod Overseas?
I've gotta send a couple of 1.8m baitcasters to a client in Singapore.
Seems a bit crazy that I can have a rod landed from Sing to Aus for $50 but the other way round I'm getting quotes for $220?
Thanks and Kind Regards
Dave

Can't advise on cost but can say wrap it well, I bought a fly rod from the USA and received an empty parcel with a discreet knife cut at the top.
