Any of you fellas affected?

Will be Tassie's turn this year with the El Nino.

Darwin's hottest day was 40.4 °C (104.7 °F) on 17 October 1892

If they think that's Darwins hottest day they need to move that thermometer out into the rural where it beats that temp every day for months
Sad about the peoples loss of property in the fires but we do do remarkedly well for the amount of fires we do have up here
I hope people affected were insured
The past is history, the future is mystery, the moment is a gift and that's why it's called the present

Don't recall it hitting the suburbs like this before ... http://www.news.com.au/national/norther ... 7523248885

But yes, plenty of fires inland, we would get ash on the car in Stuart Park in the dry season from the rural fires.
