Looks like everyone had a bit Of fun,
That's the main thing, and some great fish caught, well done.

Pity the weather changed slightly
Gotta get out there one day :-)

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Good on you fellas, sounds like a great trip.
Not a bad haul but I expected that you blokes would have really smashed them.
I need to get out more but way too busy.

Looks like a good trip to the banks fellas, can't complain about those nice reds. Spewing I missed a great trip.

Andy, how did the new EFI motors perform vs the old caribe Hondas in terms of performance and economy ?

Well thanks for the replies & views .

FTB is a spot I'll head back to soon , but it's a big system and needs more
time than we had this trip to explore it fully . It was good to be out there with
a skipper that knows the area fairly well and can get you onto some great fish.
As said earlier they just didn't play the game this time , I know they are there.

Next time for sure  :uhh:

That's an easy one tran compared to the 2000 model Hondas they are
(A) loud
(B) about 5 - 8 % better on fuel

Geez, thought the Suzi with 15 years of technology and the lean burn programing I would have thought 20% be closer to the mark.

I got 20% better when the dealership replaced my 90 carbie to 90 EFI Mercury of the same year. Not sure of the difference in weight of the 2 motors.

Me too but the bar was set pretty high with the Hondas 1km /1ltr combined burn. The weight difference is 62kgs per motor but to be fair Suzuki quote a propless figure and Honda is alloy prop on and full of oil.

You can do similar kms down the coast easy enough the last epic trip was to the little Moyle and that was about 440 over 3 nights out of Dundee. It's 150 there back and messing round on a day trip to the Perons! That long stint first up lets you clear the deck of fuel s soon as you get there at least.
It was nice to hand the wheel over anyway Jeff. Gave my foot a bit of a spell! LOL

150 to the perons and back sounds more within my capacity in the near future, but leaving from Dundee with only two in the boat would be a bit of an adventure I will have to do one day... Thanks for the info
