Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

AFANT’s Tristan Sloan said he anticipated the Northern Territory Recreational Fishing Awards would only get bigger with each year.

“The inaugural event has been a huge success and I am confident it will continue to grow in reputation and size over coming years.”

In Thursdays NT News fishing page it said that members of the Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee (RFAC) were the judges of these awards and therefore not eligible to enter or receive the awards.
Warren de With is a member of RFAC.

Hi bigwoody,

I can answer that query around Warren for you. The decision regarding RFAC members not being allowed to be nominated or nominate themselves was to preclude bias during judging however the Territories Top Research (Tagger) was not a judged award it was decided based on the number of fish tagged by individual anglers and the numbers were provided by NT Fisheries.
