Funny reef - has an awesome drop-off on the south side, I fished it quickly a couple of times on the way to Middle Reef and beyond for nowt, never heard of anyone doing any good there.
Is it a dud, or does it hold secrets?
Reckon it probably holds a couple of props, nothing worse than looking over the gunwhale at 25 knots plus and seeing Kellaway 1m down

Re: Kellaway Reef
yep its got a secret or two but very hit and miss.
I had a great skinny season there in the middle of the dry
last year, and havn't seen em there since .
It also holds small goldies in real close on the beach side.
if your game enough to get in there

Yes, it's an important reef to know if you go to Bynoe by sea. Often the first thing you see is the breaking wave.

There's another cracka out from Point Margaret which can catch you unawares

Some coral trout on that second one.

Re: Kellaway Reef
Have bagged out on big goldies on Kellaways once or twice but as mentioned hit and miss.

Re: Kellaway Reef
There was a large school of queenfish in a feeding frenzy on Kellaway reef as we motored from Bynoe to Darwin.
Caught some Big goldies in that area but more towards Darwin and close to shore on an incoming tide, we were using whole sardines jigged of the wharf.
