Kinda stupid sinker making related story.... a mate and I made a heap melted down the lead in an old pressure cooker, we had about 5kg left in the pot that had cooled and I picked it up to move it one day, the handle broke off the pot while I was carrying it infront by the handle, the sudden release of weight made me punch myself in the face with the handle really friggin hard, fat lip and a cut to the forehead the result. Lucky it wasn't still molten

No run, no fun! As a result you need the 12 and 14oz bad boys to get down there especially in 30mtr waters.

I make my sinkers every couple of years . Starting to run low but can't be f make a batch up. Rather pay someone if it cheap enough I guess.

Lead is extremely bad for kids in particular

Hey nomad I find leads not to good for fish either .
Drop it over and pull up a fish which somehow ends
up dead in the esky

My lead had some black grease type stuff on it from transformers (I think)... Now that gave off some funky vapours

If you are I take my chances with the lead fumes and make my own sinkers .
