Young bloke at work tried a sea anchor for the first time with 3ft of chain still on the rope. Hooked a jewie at town hall and lost it around hes vertical sea anchor line. Laughed for a week when he told me he just attached it to chain when he took the anchor off...

I have a sea anchor, never used it. What is the technique to deploying? Just chuck it over the side?

I used t have a narrow tarp type sea anchor. you can adjust the angle the boat faces by letting out or shortening the main line.
