80cm Barra from durack lakes

Post by Thomas'sgonefishing »

Been flicking at durack lakes for ages now picking up at least 2 rats a week varying from 40-60cm but today after being in town all day i decided to go give a new homemade soft plastic i got off one of the fellas that is going to work for us on the charters. so anyway i was flicking for about 10-15 minutes i had to hits and that was about it. I had a few last casts before i was going to head home and then bang i was on took about 3 minutes and i got this nice barra in on light gear!!!
He went 80cm pretty stoked
Cheers Vando for the lure!!!

Good effort mate. Another learning curve and good to see vando giving you plenty of tips. Take all of what he says onboard. Seems to know his stuff!

Nice fish from there Thomas

Well done, bet there's a few more in there too

Cheers
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Nice fish, hope it went back in :) as they aren't worth eating. Great spot to teach kids the finer art of fishing with light gear and soft plastics.
