You confused me on this one? What is an MFD?ken_gilchrist wrote:Does the interface cable display your trim setting on the MFD??
I was using the cables to get fuel flow, km/l, l/hr temp, trim and all those readouts on my HDS10's via NMEA 2000 network.
The cables were the connection between the outboard and the NMEA 2000 network.

Multi Function Display. (HDS)
Do you have a pic of the interface cable? I want to see if it the same plugs as my outboard.
Cheers

Do analogue gauges still work with these cables? If so I'll take them off your hands

Note this is required for older engines. 2007 and older have the round connector going to the engine.

Yes, but there is one catch.Aquarat88 wrote:Do analogue gauges still work with these cables?
The trim connector on the engine will already be connected to those round analog gauges.
If you want to show trim on your HDS, you would either need to disconnect the trim plug and connect it to the trim plug on the engine interface cable
OR
You could try and rewire the trim plug so that it splices into both the round analog gauge and the engine interface cable but I never bothered.

Re: Suzuki Engine Interface Cables
The plug is differant to my engine mate. Yes the reverse adapter will work but I already have one engine interface but I can't get the trim data to show (Your explination helped me a bit as to why).Sacky wrote:Ken_Gilchrist was in first so he's on first dibs.
That was the interest in the ones you had. My cable does not have the two "pig tails" coming off it though (one for engine and one for trim). So you can part with all of them and not be stuck with two you can't sell Aquarat88 can take them.
I appreciate the "first in first served" approach though.
I would like to see up close the wiring schematics and how it all hooks up Aquarat88 if you dont mind. I might look into splicing a pigtail to the current interface I have to see if that fixes the trim bizzo.
