Fishing Lee Point, Night cliff or Buff Creek Bot ramp.

Post by mickkk »

Im taking advantage of the neaps and little winds this Saturday and taking the kids out for a trip.

Don't know how long they will last, but last time they didn't want to head in after to hours, so I hoping we get another 2 or 3 hrs out there.

Planning to head to lee point to see if there is any pelagic's around. Maybe see a few dolphins maybe even some tuna busting up.

Which ramp would be better to launch at?
I have not launched at Nightcliff before, I know some people don't really like it on the lows, but should be fine on these tides. Is there somewhere to tie up/ beach the boat to go get the trailer, as I will be putting the boat on by myself.

Will most likely miss both turn of the tides, but hoping we see enough to get the kids excited, may be even jag one.
Any other tips always welcome.

Nightcliff should be ok to do on your own, not sure if there's anywhere to tie up but there are rocks you could probably use.

I was there today, there's tuna, macks around.

I pulled out today two hours after the low and had to get down in the sand. Came out no worries but I wouldn't recommend it.
