Was out fishing last night and my Lowrance LMS 522 was working fine then all of a sudden i lost all my personal marks and the FF marks. Im spewing about it and am not the greatest with this sort of thing. Its like it has all of a sudden its lost its memory. Any help would be appreciated

Jimmy did you have your point on a memory card or on the internal memory?

Take it to Michael Ede at In and Outboard Marine, he is good with this sort of thing. If the sounder really did lose the marks (and you didn't accidentally delete them) then it will need to be checked out because it will probably happen again.

Hi Nofish NT it is on the internal memory as when i bought the boat the sounder came with it but it doesn't have a memory card. Has this happened to you mate?

Matt is it as simple as to buy the FF card and bang it in? If so where do i get one? How much?

Could you have just hidden all waypoints by
accident mant sounders have this as a
feature, and it sounds like you are not
that savvy with them from what you have
said.

It is that simple but you should check out what went wrong first

I have the same unit and when i put the FFF card in I lost my depth contours (if that makes sense)
What i mean is when i head out in the harbour I usually have different contour colours for different depths on my sounder
When I put the FFF card in i lose the depth contours completely and I'm not that confident travelling around on a low tide to Woods and West arm without em(specially with all the traffic now)
So,, I took the FFF card back out and Presto all my contour colour lines are back.
Probably just my silly mistake but just a heads up for the future.

Change your settings to read off the card and your god memory if you loose your contour lines it obviously is the chosen primary source for your unit my Humminbird has a setting to choose what you wont

Body on here to use there card the FFF card automatally uploads to your gps and when you remove it the way points stay on your GPS well it did on mine and I'm slowly still deleting them out !
Unless Matt has changed it which would be a good idea for his money making and if people wanna remove there cards!

Should be able to upload the FFF card's marks into your unit's memory and then remove the card, and then edit marks as required. Card is not meant to be a permanent addition to a unit, nor is it meant to replace other data.

Important to backup existing data first as per instructions with the card

I can't test the card on all units, but it's been tested on the most popular ones, and works best on Lowrance HDS and Humminbird.

Suggest seeing Michael Ede at In and Outboard Marine for tech help, he works with a variety of units every day and he is familiar with the GPS card. My familiarity is only with Lowrance HDS, Humminbird and to a lesser extent Garmin.
