Four weeks!!! Sorry to hear that

I can only hope the delay is due to parts acquisition.

I will hopefully be back on deck by the Xmas holidays, ready to get some reels ready for some big 2014 run off barra!! And give some blue water/reef reels a seeing to after the 2013 season.

Might even get a fish in.

Good luck all and may your fish fight hard and not cost you too many lures and hooks :)

When asked by a non-fisherman "how many fishing rods do you actually need?", the correct response is either:
A) n+1 (where n is the number if rods you currently have); or

B) n-1 (where n is the number of rods which would cause your other half to dump you)

I had the same mate waited 4 weeks. The issue is the reels didn't need doing that bad I could of held onto to the reel until they were ready to work on it, but they screwed me around. p...ed me off a bit of forewarning would have been nice.

Both tackle world and Frenchy were straight up about the time delay (when I asked) so I decided to hang onto them....they weren't faulty, just getting doughy. Might strip the sort down tomorrow myself.

Try Scumline fishing tackle. He is based in Coffs Harbour but even with postage you should have them back quicker than 3-4 weeks.

You blokes need to just relax and only send one reel in at a time that way there is no pressure on you or the service bloke. Parts are always an issue even with express post 3 to 6 days to get parts if its posted same day by the supplier. When you pull three or 4 reels down at once it takes time to inspect and make sure you order all the parts then sometimes they send the wrong part or whatever. Or More reels come in so you can split the postage costs between 4 blokes so the service costs less especially when you have 3 different manufactures from one customer and each reel needs parts. Shops do there best to get it done why would you want a reel to sit for 5 weeks if you could get it back to the customer in a week and get more work for prompt service.

Or maybe instead of saying I need the reels ASAP for a trip you give it to em with time up your sleeve, that way you will have it for that planned trip

Im blind as a bat these days so I have to get someone to do it for me.
I've been told about 1000 ways to clean reels after a session from spraying very fine mist to dunking to just a quick wipe down.
Can anyone give a detailed method of cleaning reels after use? Including what is the best lube/protectant
