This is a spinout...Triple your catch...amazing discovery

Post by Mud »

I really ought to keep this to myself but my mates are getting the poohs because I am just slautering it lately while they go home with little or nothing. And the reason is ridiculously simple.

A year a go I was at Sth Ali culvert with a bunch of other lads. No one was getting fish. They were there, We could see them following the lures....the red eyes....all the up the culvert...then turn away....you know the scene....

It was raining. I missed a cast and tossed my lumo gulp in the mud on a far bank. I wiped it clean and threw it back. WHAM! Next cast WHAM! next cast WHAM! Again and again. I cleaned up. I just got fish after fish and no one else could get a hit.

Back at home I thought about what had happened. The barra were obviously attracted to the lures as they were following them but not hitting....they almost seemed to be smelling the lure.....!! When I had wiped the mud off the lure I wiped it on my raincoat. What was it about the raincoat? I puzzled and puzzled and couldnt for the life of me figure it out. The next day it rained and I grabbed my coat thinking how great it was since I water proofed it....BAM!! I had waterproofed it. When I rubbed the lure clean I rubbed it in.....DUBBIN! Could that be it?

I researched Dubbin. Wax, oil and tallow. What the hell is tallow? Google. Tallow is....Animal Fat....
Your kidding right? The wax stops the water from washing the lure clean immediately causing the ingrediants to release slowly. the oil allows the animal fat the drift in the water behind the lure. The animal fat is the attractant.

I thought....theres one way to prove this. I dropped two plackies in my fish tank....one straight from the pack...the other rubbed in Dubbin. Ever seen tropical fish tear a rubber to bits? It wasnt the one out of the pack.....

Now I smear DUBBIN on all my plackies, my lures, my hands, my pliers, my bait.........

This has got to be the most revolutionary fishing discovery in the past ten years. Use it sparingly. Our stocks are limited. Leave some for our kids.......

Mud I believed your story! I use lanolin grease on my lures, which is used for corrosion prevention but is made from sheep fat! Works an absolute treat for me!

How to outfish the other people in your boat
Spray their lures with aerogard

I thought that you have to do all April fools jokes BEFORE noon or the jokes on you.

PS, Sheep fat is what kiwis get when they see a lamb
