Hi guys, just returned to Melbourne after the most eventful Kalash I've had
After a bit of a slow start We fished from the top ropes to brook at the mouth for zero fish for 3 days prior to the comp starting . There was no run off anywhere to be found all the creeks were dirty.we found one creek at the top near the rock bar that had some water coming out but was very dirty so we basically sat init for three days of the comp . We landed 7 keepers for the three days a 64 ,66 and a 64cm that was good enough for 3 rd place. Only one metery of 110cm caught for the comp and 14 teams went 0 fish on all 3days. To say it was a tough comp would be an understatement . Let's hope next years a bit easier.

Geat report I heard that the guys who got the metery were drunk as a skunk, caught the big girl before lunch and headed back to camp to sleep it off.. Classic

Re: Kakadu Kalash
92% of NT fishermen who catch barramundi have alcohol in their bloodstream, clearly it is linked to the ability to catch fish

Re: Kakadu Klash
the team was called hard yakka 2. 3 young guys who actually did realy well considering. michael dickinson son from team fusion caught the 110cm. the guy who caught the 95cm on the first day was found in someone elses car on the morning of the first day wearing a dress from a massive night the night before the comp! sure he had some explaining to do there lol we hit brooke on day 1 and 2, day 3 we stopped just shy at a gutter on the left in sight of brooke. lost 3 fish all up and didnt land anything for the whole comp. fair to say there was some beer drunk on this trip as there wasnt much catching happening. from what i could gather 35 out of the 40 teams stayed up top for the whole comp so its no wonder thats where all this fish were caught.
