My New Quintrex 520 Renegade

Post by Hayzie »

I thought i would just share my new rig with you all. A Quintrex 520 Renegade centre console with 100HP Yamaha

I have been working pretty hard to save the cash for this boat and I am over the moon that i have finally got a boat designed just how i wanted it.

A few things that i got done to this boat were.
4mm bottom upgrade to go with the already 3mm sides
Raised casting deck so i can fit a 110L esky underfloor
Painted the inside and side decks, i love my crabbing so i always wanted the outside of my hull unpainted.
6 seat positions
second rear step

I have obviously put a 80lb Minn Kota up front, these things have really changed they way i fish. The Mrs loves the fact that she doesnt have to throw out the anchor rope anymore over wrecks or reef. Happy wife happy life! :D

Lowrance HDS10 with structure scan along with a sonic hub 8)

I also went with the X3 Square LAN guages to go with my Yamaha F100
Having the full fuel management system is fantastic, i basically get the same KM per RPM. fully loaded with fuel and 5 people i get 61km per hour top speed with an alloy prop.
Sitting on 4000 RPM I am getting 2.8km per litre. :applause:

Overall very excitted to finally have my new boat, and it is designed just how i have always wanted.

Having a bigger boat now i am looking forward to many new adventures.

Congrats on the new ride mate. Looks awesome .

How are going setup up your hds 10? I had mine for 6 months and finally pulled my finger out to fine tune her a couple weeks ago. If you haven't done it just google it and there are some amazing set up video on the new hds gen 2.

Hi Hayzie, looks a fantastic setup - like the high sides and flexibility with the seating positions (including a skippers seat as well). Also like the idea of just painting the inside of the boat. Have fun.
Cheers,

Ash

Great looking rig, painted inside is a nice touch.
