Birthday Grunter

Post by Fishmad1 »

Here are a couple of pics from Myst's and myself's outing yesterday.. got my very first pig, it was a sow with nice little hooks she was in pretty good condition we estimated around the 80kg mark maybe a little more 8-) .. we seen some good looking scrub bulls but they were not keen on playing the game.. Myst unfortunatley was unable to get his nice size grunter this time but next time i'm sure we can fix that:mrgreen:

All in all a massive day, but well worth the effort. This is one that I will remember for a very long time. 8-)

Well done lads. Dont hunt myself...prob because I couldn't hit the side of a barn if I was in it!...but i can guess it takes a bit of skill to find and hit one of these pigs. (Even more so with the arrows).
Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...

Awesome Fishmad, like mud I am not into shooting, though I like to read about it. Hey, that's how I got into fishing, so you never know. :P
Your camo outfits look top notch, what is the go with colour choice and material? :hunting:

G'day Tim, mine (im the taller fella, tho thats not hard with FM! lmao) is a 3d suit called a RiverGhost, its pretty light but blends in a treat. FM will tell ya, when i stop moving it just vanishes... works a treat and because its mesh it breathes really well. FM's is an ASAT 3d, blends in a treat too but couldnt tell you more than that... we both got to within about 15m of a group of three pigs and they never knew we were there til one fell over...

Thanks guys  lets hope this is the first of many  Tim, the suits Myst and myself wear are a mesh shell with leaf like material sewn on, it's like a nylon sort of material, both work fantastic at hiding you from the gazes of pigs etc. Mysts is an awsome unit that makes it hard for even the human eye to see trust me i have lost him a few times since we have been hunting together :bonk: . Also being mesh alows even the slightest of breezes to come through.. tho still bl..dy hot at the moment

Fishmad, must be awesome to hunt with a mate like that. I saw a photo of a dude in camo a while back (might have been FFF actually) and it was almost impossible to see him :hunting: what a blast (pardon the pun)

Nice pig not that I hunt but like to look and read about it though. That first pic with the camos is mindblowing. They blend in so well looking like a plie of leaves sort of to me.

Tim, that was probably a post i put in about a year ago standing in the yowie suit in front of the bushes, stuff works well, when you stop moving you just melt right on in with the background. i think the post was 'giving the forum some grunt' or something like that... has the pic in it if thats the one you're thinking of. its a shame i cant find anywhere in australia that does the riverghost gear, it'd sell like hotcakes up here!
