Do you live anywhere near this stuff, Matt?

Incredible isn't it with so much contrasting trouble in close proximity.

The rain was something to see Ron, as heavy as anything I experienced in Darwin. Rain in the Huon is usually drizzle.

We live on the side of a hill. A river ran down the main paddock, leaving a pile of sheep poop on each side of the flow. For weeks before everything was bone dry, with crunchy grass, and bushfire smoke all over.

This ABC report says plant communities around for ages have been burnt out, so perhaps it is a climate change event ... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-01-30/f ... au/7127300

Pic attached of the backyard during the rain, like the banks of the Daly in the Wet :)
