Hey Matt, Some people view the place as a fishing web site, I am trying to view it like a fishing club, where people actually get out and meet each other, hence the intro of the Barra Series.

A social calendar would be good.

Maybe 6 or so dates. Name 6 dates on a calendar at the start of the year.

Stick up at the beginning of the year 3 dates in Darwin venues for a few beers somewhere (places that are kid and family riendly aswell)

And 3 or 4 dates for general Social Fishing weekends.

Places like Bynoe where Blue water and Barra people can get together.

If you want any assistance to do something like this let me know Matt, I have a few ideas.

Sounds good Dingo, if you want to put up tentative dates on this thread, once people have had a look and made any comments/changes, I'll put them up on the calendar

I'll get some lucky door/raffle prizes together for FFF social events.

No worries Matt, I will get some dates up when I get back from Holidays. If anyone has any suggestions send me a PM.

I am thinking a Blue water date (any blue water experts want to send me a through any suggestions on places and dates as I have no idea),

a billabong date,

a Bynoe build up date.

An Xmas pub date and a mid year pub date.

hee hee hee.....didnt work but....

I dont think the wallabys got a chance to start the other night..And the young fella was off with the boot while Dan Carter couldnt miss.....some fllashes of what they are capable of. Lets see how the tri nations pans out I think they will put in a much better showing.
Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...

Matt,
As far as suggestions for the site go a "How To" section would be great, I have been working on a How To for prepping Tuna for eating for my blog but I would put it in a how to section if there was one.
Cheers,
John.

P.S. Light Tackle Billfish Part 5 - Techniques & Tactics is on the drawing board but it's taking a while! :bonk:

We would love to get together and meet some of the regular locals of this great site.
Wether it be a beer at the local, a bbq at the lake or a fun fishing comp.
We believe a few events yearly would be great :)

Hey Mat.
I sit and read the site 3-4 times a week at least, and love it cause I'm a Victorian that only gets up there once a year if I'm lucky. So this is how I get my Barra ,Goldie ,Jewie, fix.
When i have tried to post I have found it impossible to load my pics. So not much sent. All other aspects are grt.
I do appreciate the answers to any questions I ask. and thank all that have replied

Cheers from a poor Carp catcher.

Trim down the amount of boards

why do the fishing reports need to be seperated by species? the board isnt so active it is causing issues.

click on a topic and there is a board with 6-7 sub folders

i would narrow it down to 10 main ones with zero subfolders.

just a suggestion :)
