Well its not the biggest but am catching some on some trips. Saturday was a bust with 5 fish landed but all under size. Two weeks back i got a 74 and a few smaller fish. Lost some nice fish. But that is why i keep going back. Two weeks ago on 4 feb, the swell, tide and wind made some massive surf in shoal bay. Worst i have ever seen. Lucky i seemed to be the only lone idiot out there.

how many is enough lures, rods and reels. Is there a magic number, considering you usually only catch 1 fish on a single lure on the one rod and reel your casting with.

Water was terrible. The smallest window of clean water. And bugger all on the sounder. No fish and no bait

I only managed one in the 70s at Shady, we got four keepers including a 95, but forgot the paper! :bonk:

I was in a mates boat, so don’t think I could have entered my fish anyway?

Hit East Point this morning but no much luck, I only had 2 hits for 3hrs casting .
Then literally on the last cast I managed this 48cm and with 10pts bonus land base makes it 58cm .
Great to get points up for the first month :D

Hit Shoal Bay and the creeks Saturday with only 2 rats having a crack.

Same, not a lot of bait but a sneaky lurking 2m croc and fish in the holes that wouldn't budge.

Still it was fun cleaning the hull, prop and skeg a few times and a nice bit of rain.
