FFF Seadogs 2015 - Round 2 - The Run-off - Day 12

Much quieter this round when it should be getting better.

Cyclones either side of Australia, satellite shows clear sky over the Top End.

Shane Compain still doing well though ... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Northern ... 270?ref=mf

Might need to add more bluewater rounds this year :fishing:

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Fished Mon,Tues at Tommycut, quiet out the front but found a few fish up the river, 100 on the dot caught on the olive green squidgey mongrel, tried seano's keep them in the net, worked a treat as they all released strongly.

My first crack at a night fish for Barra; we were planning on heading to Shady, then a last minute change saw us head to the Daly.
The Daly hasn't really been kind to us in the past, however, this trip it was a little kinder.

74cm Barramundi, tagged and released.

Wasn't that kind to me, mate! :bonk: only managed one fish about 60ish and didn't take a pic as I thought there'd be many more to come. :banghead:

Just remember your fish was a tagged fish; speaking of which, record the details and e-mail them through to Angela from AFANT, their e-mail address is [email protected]

But yeah mate, I thought the river was going to share some of it's special secrets and forbidden fruit in the way of massive fish...but alas, not so.
On the flip side, we were graced with Bail's singing expertise in the way of his version of the Daly River Karaoke Klash. He doesn't remember any of it, but I remember it vividly with Bail's singing at the top of his voice 'Living on a Prayer' by Bon-Jovi and some other Cold Chisel classics. He was getting right into it with full fist pumps in the air and everything else; but as quickly as it escalated, the Karaoke soon subsided as the song changed and never regained it's momentum. As I turned to investigate the reason for this, I found Bail's fast asleep, with his head and his right shoulder leaning up against his centre console.....fun times and a fishing experience I can't wait to do again.

Cheers Bails....

Haha! Funny stuff! Gordo just told me that the son of the guy who documents the tags works with them. He has already passed on the info, just forgot to measure the fish. :bonk:
