Re: FFF Seadogs - Round 3 - The Greenwater
I was thinking the same, things are never quiet as they seem when it comes to Ron. But he was at the roper for the last two weeks, and we know he caught fish, so what's the point of that post? Just another Ronje show! I'm sure today there might be a little post from Ronje being the last day of the round.

Re: FFF Seadogs - Round 3 - The Greenwater
My. How quick we are to condemn.
Of course its not an entry. Its simply what could have been if it hadn't been necked while I was getting the brag mat. I already had the location photo complete with .....wait for it... my photo as the rules required (no point in including it if the fish itself was ineligible).
Matt asked that negativity cease but that doesn't mean that humour ceases.
I'll be back......
(p.s. ..... It wasn't Roper Bar Crossing either)

The sparsely grassed, freshly turned earth in the background of the pic looks remarkably like that of the new tomato island camp ground....ronje wrote:

Ken Dog is right. That photo was taken at TI campsite when we got back. You can easily see that it had been necked and gutted. (I'd have thought u guys would have run the microscope over it and raised the alarm!) That's why it was ineligible right from the start.
I caught it at Rocky Bar Xing from the pool at the bottom of the cascades. Dropped another one probably about the same size. No boat access there.
It swallowed the 80mm squidgy and was bleeding profusely from the gills.
I cleaned it up as it was a legitimate land-based catch. I got the regulation bankside photo (with me in it) and while I went away to get the brag mat, somebody necked it. Nobody owned up to doing it! That put paid to a competition entry hence no bankside photo.
Anyway, onto other things.

Re: FFF Seadogs - Round 3 - The Greenwater
here is my late entry.
spent the last working week down at the vic river. didnt get much fishing done as i was there for work, but managed to score myself a nice 97cm barra.
fishing was very hard as the water clarity was terrible, and the locals all say, its all about the clear water.
in interstate working this week, so ill post a trip report later, just got these pics emailed to me today.
the camera man did a terrible job, was sure of the standards FFF are looking for so i hope the pics on the brag mat are ok
cheers
