1.19m Queensland grouper. Caught on a mullet at the Roper.
The tape held on top measures 1.22m but when the fish is laid on the tape below it comes to 1.19m as it doesn't follow the contours of the fish. Held tape on top for the photo to make it easier to see as it wasn't easy to get complete fish in photo for measurements and didn't want to play around too long with the fish out of the water.

Not many mate. Got a few but nothing like was hoped for. Water was dirty and extremely windy. Biggest was only 87cm and dropped one other better fish due to leader failure at the bank.ghound wrote:

Place was packed full of people and very few fish got caught. A lady from QLD got a 108cm on the very first troll of a 5 day trip and that was the only fish they got. Heard one crew got some fish from a supprising spot. Only found out when we were due to head home.

Best i could manage from earlier in the month 78cm, headed out to the mouth of the Adelaide yesterday afternoon for a crack at a bigger one but no joy, did manage a couple of nice chromies and tested the outboard after the oil switch was replaced and no more alarms or lights which was agood thing.
