Yes it got sorted MP

Baitcasters for the left wing latte-sipping "wrap my reel in veloure in a box to maintain its shite casting charcteristics" big nose brigade.....

Spinners for the balanced socially productive "drag my reel to the culvert on a string behind a pushy and it'll still friggin cast" physically appealing brigade....

(funny to see the old thread get taken out of the closet lol)

Not this thread again.... I thought it got sorted out months ago.

Baitcaster - For blokes who know how to fish for barra.

Spin reel- for the girls and southerners.

Still haven't heard what was a failure about the Ford Edsel.

The car itself was great engineering.

The marketing by the Ford Motor Company lagged behind the standards of the vehicle.

I guess not manufacturing anything thus becoming one of the most qualified consumer countries, has made the country of the south pacific to-and-from a perfect guinea pig for marketing effectiveness research. It'll adopt the euro shortly.

U know. Like Greece.

Baitcasters for blokes who wear yakka gear, drive manuals, and know how to change a tyre.
Spin reels for blokes who cant catch a ball, drive auto hatch backs , who call AANT to change their tyre

Perhaps a couple of buckets, a footy oval, and the proponents of both spin v overhead to cast over set distances..in the bucket wins.  :wink

Lol@ Sheeby!!
Ol Fart is right. Ididnt think it would come to this but it looks like this may have to be settled in the ring. Buckets at 10, 20, 30 pace...a section to cast around obstacles....casting first to the boof. At great expense to myself I am prepared to put up the buckets and some survival beeries for myself.
Now. The big question. Who's prepared to step and put out? If we get more than two finals reps for each team we can run elimination heats.
The competition will be run in 3 weeks time. (When i get back from Bali bwahah)
Names please!

Hey, Mud if you keep on winding them up, the elastic band will eventually snap and maybe turn into another birdnest. But don't stop on my account I'm really enjoying the read and the responce from those who's noses are put out of joint

Bait caster mainly for Barra however i use my Spin outfit on the flats in the harbour and i think its well suited to the job more so then my bait caster. For those that say the spin cant be accurate well i beg to differ. I was casting as good as Deepblack with my spin and he was on the end of his bait caster and he can cast pretty dam well.

I think you would be in hot water trying to land a 80+cm fish in tight country with my spin as its only got 15lb line on it. But other then that its great.

Some of those reels would pull a Nissan out of a bog on the Marraki planes, not exactly sporting
I'm working on a way of fixing my Warn 1200lb outfit to the back of my 3.8 punt(look out powertails) :D
Have you ever caught a solid marlin Shaggs? Lets say something over the 200-300kg mark? Even with 130lb out of a chair you still get your arse handed to you! I've never seen anyone get out of the chair or finish fighting a decent marlin on stand up that has thought it wasn't "sporting" enough! Even with heavy gear!

Lol at last post and thread dig
The ones who fight for their beliefs are those who achieve their dreams.

Can we just take the warning stickers off everything and let natural selection take its place, I mean if its spinning fast dont put your fingers in it..... Its not hard
