Re: Suspending jigheads
Don't know brand names yet as they're new and high tech.
Developed in Japan apparently from a mixture of magnesium foam and lead in the right mix. Lead sinks, magnesium foam floats with the mixture in the right proportions equalling the specific gravity of water.
Fresh water has a different specific gravity to salt water and so they developed differing jigs for salt and fresh water by changing the mix of lead and magnesium foam.
Should be a ball-tearer for twitching in the face of a barra in a snag.
Strange how the blurring of lines between types of fishing has developed. Gulp is part lure part bait. Suspending jigheads are part hard body, part plastic and probably part bait..
Be good to get a suspending jighead for live bait without the need for a floater.
