Re: St croix rods?
To clear this up. I went and saw them today. I purchased one at that price and will try it out tomorrow. The warrenty is 5 year in America but lifetime here. The Australian rep lives in the NT and just replaces them. So all good and I suggest you buy one.

FYI. Most of the rods from the US have small tips and smaller guides. More suited to wind on leaders or smaller leaders like 30lb. Big knots on bigger leaders will catch on the tip. Aussie built rods generally have bigger guides and tips to suit our tendancy to fish heavier leaders.

All of my st croixs are us models and I got them here never a problem with guide. The cores cast really well I have a chronarch which is good but for how light the core is I use it alot more.
