Show us your fishing gear/lures, etc

Post by nagz »

hi folks,

seen this done on other forums, but they mostly concentrated on blinged up bits of kit.

i'm keen to see what folks are using when they head out and about, bling or no bling.

don't be afraid :)

cheers

When asked by a non-fisherman "how many fishing rods do you actually need?", the correct response is either:
A) n+1 (where n is the number if rods you currently have); or

B) n-1 (where n is the number of rods which would cause your other half to dump you)

I don't want to get laughed at or :bricks: for having some Jarvis Walker gear (but it is good for fishing on rocks etc 'cause it doesn't bother me if it gets scratched or worse!).

Thanks for replying guys.
Im always curious about tackle. What are people using for what species and where etc
But its good to see. I'm a bit of a sad bugger in that I'll scrutinize every pic in a fisho mag, studying what they're using, then it ends up on the wish list, then in the shed lol
Will sort some pics out this weekend of some of my own gear, maybe that'll get the ball rolling, or stop the thread in its tracks
Who knows? We're showing the fish in another thread :)

Cheers

Shaggs,
I had never thought of using spark plugs as sinkers. Would be worth a look just to see how you tie em on :)

Nagz I would post a pic but heaps of lures are packed ready for trip up next week, only takin 4 trays of lures and 3 rods, I have 14 rods n reels and about 100 lures of different assortment, I will post a pic in about 3 weeks when I hang all back on the wall, shed looks like a fishin shop, old spark plugs only need to bend the gap down and can attach a swivel good for reef work cheap if you lose rig
he fishes he fishes he fishes its the only thing in life all he ever gets is hell from his fed up wife

Can't show you me 'tackle'.

I have a couple of curado 200e5 and 200e7 reels and a few gl2 rods. I will never again buy a curado. Heaps better reels out there for half the price.

OF I thought you had your own key anyway. Besides I saw a bit of your tackle the other week - there's not a chastity belt built that would hold that lot!
