there is a problem with them but have made upgrade parts for them and warranty takes care of it. like most reels these days they are built for the American market which they want them light as possible which means alloy parts and they don't hold up to the aussie conditions the same for the g series curado.

Ken dog: How old was the curado that got stolen?

It was over a year ago now but it was around a yr and a half old. The new model but still the ones that were made in Japan.

As someone who works on reels I can tell you I wouldn't touch a Revo, the Type R Zillion is excellent BUT does require a little TLC to get the best out of it. Something alot of anglers fail to get a grasp on if the reels I have done in the last 6 months are anything to go by. As for the knocking the G series Curadoes are getting (And I must admit to originally being a knocker!) on closer inspection anglers are actually getting what they asked for in this reel. It is far simpler to maintain if you do look after your gear and more importantly if you don't, (and let me tell you, as I said there are alot of you out there.....) you can treat it like poop and it will last longer because it is simpler.
Cheers,
John.

Yeah the E series, interesting you didnt mind it as its entirely identical to the chronarch youve had dramas with, apart from the colour.

But I agree the G series is terrible!

The level wind disengages when you cast.
