Headed out from east arm Sat morning after the storm blew over ,wind up our bums on the way out .Lets go over the wrecks see if there's any action was a reply from one of the crew.OK The skipper replies knowing we were getting close to feeding time .Well there seemed to be a lot of color on this wreck and the colour was red well on the sounder it was .Red means big with this pallete .Everyone eager to get down there we went around again and dropped the pick a short drift back and we had the wreck. a squid head on the top hook and down she went Felt my sinker hit the wreck, sat the rod in the holder and a few winds to get it up a mtr or 2 .Sat the rod in the holder and cracked my can and now to wait.Skipper said your rod your getting bites no not yet i turned to see a couple of taps ,hmmmm could this be ,with my ticker going 90 to the dozen and sat the can on the gunnel knowing the sucker would keep it safe .And then my tunapower loaded up almost double ,now i have a bite .I ripped the rod out the holder and then gave a couple of hard jerks to set the hook then a big blast of a run, then 2 big head shakes .OOOOOO Think its a jewy boys get your lines in I saw colour that awesome silver colour and i new i had broken my drought of over 5 years .As skipper guided her into the net i was over the moon and hooting with jubilation only a few other blue salmon and the feeding time was over .And this is what happens when you give your hat to the skipper coz he lost his Its taken 5 years to break my drought
