Post by Dingo »

Long weekend, Where is everyone going fishing or is it top secret

Or as everyone had their barra fix over the run off and now it is all just to hard :-?

I am off to Yellow Waters for a few days. Might not get any fish, but better than lazing on the couch.

Yeah, I could of went to them, but I will go another time when Yellow Waters is open if i am going to make the drive out that way. Especially this time of year when I will be lucky to snag a barra. But thanks Blinky.

Ended going to Corroboree and camped at the Tavern, had a good weekend, and only had to drive half as far.

I was glad to be no where near a TV to watch that. I do think he may have played a year at the Bombers in reserves before he went to the Saints. Glad we shipped Milney the Maggot on that is for sure. 8-)

Beauty, long weekend is here I thought. I will finally got out to play
Loaded up the boat and went to the bottle washer, my first time there.
I dropped a couple of rigs using 100 lb leader.

5 times, a decent fish grabbed my bait and took off at 100 mph and then nothing. The rigs were cut as clean as a whistle, some right at the hook and some on the trace itself. I assume they were mackerel.

I searched frantically thru the tackle box looking for wire trace but sfa there.

The next day, I hit the shops and loaded up with some wire trace and headed back out. Spent a lot more time on the same spot and the only thing I pulled in were batfish.

Arrghh!

I try to swat up on the critters up here and how to go about catching them but my little brain can only take in so much. (I now remember reading that macks require wire trace but that must have been lost somewhere between reading and being locked away in the memory.

Next time
