Heading out tomorrow mornin' for a "prerequisite" for the up and coming Billy comps on island :fishing:

This crew is made up of 2 "Barra" fisher men and one bloke that has actually caught a Billy or 2 ..........The skipper

Hope it's good  and will let every one know how we go

If all else fails, see if we can "raise" a Barra in 30+M of water  :jester:

Well the trip ended up like a lot of billy trips I hear about, we managed to hook one and raise one. The hooked one was awesome to watch leaping out and "shimmying" It was estimated at 35Kg

We did manage to catch a couta and a small mack  The water was beautiful and flat 8-)

Try again next time

G'day Noundz

Were the Frog Mouth pilchards & other types of pilchards showing up out off South Point yet, we found a lot of the Billies in close proximity to them, I even hooked a Sail on a bait jig intended for some fresh skip baits. Funny at the time, flick the bait jig into the school, yep stop the boat skip, jigs loaded up, sh&$t out it comes with a clean hook up on the bait jig in the corner of the mouth, didn't last long tho, then & again bait jigs aren't really designed for 2o kgs of p%$ssed of Sailfish, cheers Balls.
