Boating Tip for night travel

Post by Chook »

I have a boating tip for the 5.8 metre Seajay that almost got run into by a 6.1 metre Mako at approx 10.30pm Sunday night 40kl north of Darwin. Turn your bl..dy Nav Lights on when traveling at night. :bonk:

Travelling home from the Tiwi's at night was our only option, as the sea's were very calm. Hubby & I were scooting along around 50kl, when out of nowhere a boat crossed our path. The only reason we know the make and model is because he was that close we could see him with our Nav lights. Scared the cr.p out of me.

Safty is everybody's Responsibility

I am posting it so the whole wide world know that there are dickheads amongst us on our waters.

If I knew the person I would not have come onto this forum, I would have delt with it in private.
