Got my boat back together last night, so I am a definite. Will be leaving Buffalo Crk at 4.30 ish (hopefully 4pm). I have not had time to get FFF stickers on my new boat yet. It is a 5.3m Quintrex Coast Runner with a Bimi cover and a 115 Yamaha 2stroke. So if you see me out there say hello, otherwise it will be just me and the dog. :uhh:
Plan is head over to Shoal Bay, drop crab pots (hopefully get some to cook for tea) :lobster: , then collect bait just around the sandy point and go to the Rock. I will attached a picture of my boat.

Headed out to the Rock as per the plan :captain: , could not catch any live bait :o , so anchored near the Rock and flicked lures to the rock, hung out a few dead baits, squid and dead mullet. Caught nothing all night. I think big fish at the Rock is a mith and I was the only stooge to fall for the decoy of going to the Rock. :jester: No other boats out there. Got up early grabbed the crab pots, had 5 crabs, headed over to King Creek mouth, trolled around the mouth for an hour or so on about half tide going out. Tried to collect some live bait, still no luck except a few large prawns, which I caught a heap of Powertail on. :hunting: Pulled the crab pots up at 3pm and headed home, with no fish and nine crabs.
Little bit dissappointed in the other FFFers, no show !!!

after all the hype, it is pretty woefull that only one FFF took a glassfull of harden up and attended the rock. Next time can you make it that the girlies can come too.

When it got to about 6pm, I thought no one else would be able to make it out :-? (I left at 4.30pm), but at about 4.45pm a small tinny made its way across from the Buffalo Crk direction, which I was a bit suprised they could get out. They may already have been in the water. :|
You gotta hate it when you miss the tide. :surf:
I was racing the tide the other week, trying to get to my low tide hole and ran up onto a sandbar at full speed. Lucky no damage or injury and I was able to get off the sandbar. :sailing:

We had planned to be there but I got caught up at work at the last minute. We had the keg, gen set and lights all ready to go. I think CB and his mates did the keg over Friday night anyway.
