Hey Blinky,

Without probing too deep, Why is DGFC moving from the Trailer Boat Club?
I won't be offended if you tell me it's none of my business.

Hey XXtreme,
Previously we had our HQ at the Aviation Institute, they just wanted to shift closer to the water, the place where most fishing clubs like to be. You know, use of a boat ramp, more amenities etc, etc. :grin:

You’re not getting confused with Arafura are you? It was or is based out of the Trailer Boat Club; it began life as a splitter group from DGFC many, many years ago. I was part of the splitter group and was a member up until 1988, when I had a 12 month sojourn in Sydney, re-joined DGFC only a few years ago. I’m unsure whether Arafura is still a going concern or not. Someone will be able to let us know I’m sure.

Yep, I was confused. :bonk:
I always thought the DGFC was based at the TBC. Thanks for clarifying. :mrgreen:

Thanks Blinky I was trying to work out how to post that.

Arafura folded about 2 years ago. They where based at the TBC, so was DGFC once but that was about 20 years ago, then it was the Ski Club for a few years until it become too hard to work with them,. Thats when we moved to the AI & IMHO that was a mistake. I for one am happy to be going back to the Ski Club.
