Be sad to see you go Ray. Ive been fortunate enough to have got some great memories fishing with you on a couple of awesome trips.
Might even find me dropping in to say hi over there before too long. Just let you get settled and get some new spots first.

Thanks for getting those Apsley trips happening this year. Wouldnt of happened with the Codfather being the ring-leader. Even though I never fished from the CodFather, i got a good image in my head of powering through the swell on the way back in from Marie.
How long till the CodFather starts visiting some of these places
Cheers

No problem Matt,
Fishing over there will be a whole new ball game, no 6 meter plus tide run, university degree in marine biology on what when where and how and not forgetting boat rego, boat license, fisheries naziz's, greenpeace idiots and other tree hugging groups who wish to ban everything and not to mention the cr.p boat ramps(ok bit rough on the boat ramps).
On a serious note I'll miss the adventure of fishing north of the tiwi's and flat top and in general the relax attitude and generally conservative approach taken by most people here in keeping fish for the table also not forgetting the people.
Especially those that make comment of I'd rather be at Flat Top when getting hammered by 6-10 kilos fish of various species at goodrich banks.
A certain person taking a tiller steer out overnight loneranger to Flat Top.
Those that run out of fuel not once but twice.
and the list goes on so yep there are plenty of fond memories to take away and in time I'll see if i can get a few good posts in the QLD section.

All the best for you and the family with the big move. there might not be 6 meters of run in the tides over there but at times it will certainly feel like it on the bigger tides.....

Cheers Ray...
Definitely a huge loss to the FFF, was great to meet you though and chat about your plans. You never know what the future may hold, hopefully we'll hit PNG one day on your extended extended Charter! All the best mate.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer.........
