FFF stickers being given away??

I was coming back into dinah beach boat ramp yesterday arvo, and pulled up alongside a bloke in a tinny with the FFF sticker on his transom...

so being sociable, i walks over, offers my hand out, and says,
"g'day Kevin Kevinson". He just looks at me dumb.

I says
"whats your user name?" he continues to look at me dumb

so after i explain that i noticed he was sporting a FFF sticker, he says
"nahh mate, I dont go on that thing, i just had the bloke at the tackle store give me the sticker for free."

dunno what the story is there, but not real happy about it.

Apparently a couple of people have bought stickers "because they like the FISH FINDER book".

I'll ask Craig to sell stickers only to bona fide forum users.

Funny that KK, Gracie and i were at corroboree early sunday morning and we encountered the same thing

A 4-5m stacer with three dudes in it and an FFF sticker on each side came within sight, we finished our trolling run and casually motored over to say hello............as we got closer they all turned there backs on us and slowly moved away.............i spead up.....he speads up.....i say hello.....they ignore me.....

I dont care if someone doesnt want to talk to me but i thought these stickers were designed to stop "forum users" being strangers on the water

Maybe you need a "FISH FINDER BOOK" sticker for those fans...?

Yeah I was "given" one (after spending $900) and thought it was a bit weird I wasn't asked for my forum name or anything like that. We might have to start a secret handshake to weed out the pretenders

I spoke to a bloke at the Dundee ramp with one on his 4m Stacer. He bought it because he liked the book. Promised to get online for a look though.

your missing the point a little BC...i reckon the identification of the FFF through stickers helps us look out for each other. I would be more than happy to have a FFF member pull up the otherside of a snakedrain cos I know them...fish together and have a yarn.

not real keen to hand that courtesy to someone who wont give you the time of the day

i think the publicity for the forum comes through the paper everyweek, and sinking stuff etc...we dont need to hand stickers to people who dont contribute.
