G'day fellas
New to the forum although I've managed to view some of the articles from the forums, I'm always interested at looking at other fishos techniques & ideas. We are competing in this years Broome billfish tournament & unfortunately one of our team had to pull the pin at short notice. We are chasing a 3rd team member at short notice & if any one is interested we would like to have a yak to them. Basically everything is organised to go including our accommodation which is moored on the deep blue & at this stage we will probably need to leave by the 18th of July to arrive for the compulsory briefing on the 20th & return to Darwin by the 30th of July. I fished the tournament for 4 years a number of years ago when there were about 40 odd boats competing & done well so we aren't going over without a competive chance & lots of weigh points. Josh Ker is the other team member, we are both involved with Darwin Game Fishing Club & probably known by quiet a few of the people on this site who can probably vouch for us. Anyway if anyone is interested in discussing pm me [email protected] & or give me a buzz on 89 323 112 after 5pm all week, as I'm on graveyard shifts all week, cheers Balls.

G'day Gibbo
We picked up our third crew member at our fishing club meeting Tuesday night, he's just new to our club after relocating from Groote Eylandt, he has chased Billfish over there so thats a bonus. At this stage we will probably leave on the 18th & drive straight through to Broome & organise our gear & stores onto my mates boat we are staying on. We will be using the Darwin game fishing club boat which has its logo plastered down the sides, so if you see it come & have a yak, if not we'll catch up at the briefing. Are you flying in & catching up with your mate or are you driving over ?, just hoping those weather gods in Broome play the game with the favourable winds this year, cheers Balls.
