While the philosophy of the "govt of the day" is that if they keep repeating the same thing over and over, eventually there'll be a different outcome.
Qld Govt believes in it as does the NT govt. Seemingly so does the WA govt.
One govt common to all of these failed projects (spread around a number of states) is the federal govt. There's always Fed money lost 'cos they've got more taxpayer money to lose than the states.
The feds need to better scrutinise these projects at proposal stage before committing funds. If the Feds refuse to commit money, the states can't afford to go ahead independently.
