Katherine in July

Post by Toby61 »

Hello all
The better half and I are driving up up to see some family in Katherine in July and want to drop a line along the way.
What are some good spots in the territory along the way.
No boat, just land based.
Thanks Toby

You might do alright as it was a better wet season. The Katherine River can produce fish off the bank, try Donkey Camp pool and Galloping Jacks rapids. The gorges can fish well and there are loads of freshwater grunter in there but not much bank access.

Should be cherabin to be potted too.

At all times must be VERY aware of the croc danger if fishing landbased, canoes also, not sure using a canoe is wise in the Katherine River these days.
