Perhaps not directly related, but I read recently that Australia has been going downhill fast in terms of overall corruption.
Unfortunately I think Trump emboldened politicians all over the world on what they can get away with, love him or hate him he was teflon coated, beats me how he can still be in the running after trying to corrupt the election result (eg Stop the Steal!), and all the other dodgy things.
