Boat floor
I need to replace the floor in my tinny , thinking about going alloy checker, just not sure if it will get too hot,i dont mind painting it or putting some sort of matting over the top. It is only $100 more than ply and carpet that i've done twice already.Any thoughts cheers

Re: Boat floor
I have alloy, its painted and has tube matting over the top. The tube matting is comfy, easy to clean and doesn't get hot.

Re: Boat floor
Its a bit pricey but we are installing deck armour. Soft under foot, keeps dry and doesn't get hot.

Hey mate, that deck amour looks great, sounds like you are building a awesome boat. This is just a 4.4 m tinny, it gets used and abused pretty hard,crabbing,prawning,4 wheelers, dogs and dead animals but thanks for the reply

Re: Boat floor
Bit of rain slowed me up, need to cut the holes for the seats and screw it down. Getting a small livie tank welded out of the leftover sheet and deckwash next week

Re: Boat floor
Thanks Guys, pretty happy with how it turned out. Got the seat holes cut and all scewed down, just need to paint and put some sort of matting down.
PS I Taped around the edge of the old ply floor, helped get a nice fit with the alloy
