Sounds like the NT News is all thumbs.

Awful thing to happen, hope the fisho is on the mend.

Bloke down here put his hand through a table saw a few years ago, while cutting firewood. Seriously f...d thing to happen. A second's distraction changes a life. I now push everything through my table saw with a stick.

Yeah NT news are certainly consistent with their dramatisation
It happened to my son at his workplace getting some gear ready for the show on the weekend
Lost a bit of length in the finger and learnt hopefully not to do it again
He’ll be right after a bit of pain
NSW supporter by the way , we’ve had plenty of pain in past years

Some useless/useful info ... guitarist from Black Sabbath cut off the tops of his fingers, didn't stop him playing. Django Reinhardt was another one.
