Re: FFF Seadogs 2020 Final Winners and Prizes
Nice Matt, maybe a few less rounds with Jewish and Mack's, cos all that will happen is people with bigger boats will go wide, bang massive jews n Mack's, and smaller boats won't have the luxury of going further out.. easier to catch 120+ Jewies and Mack's wide, than work for 1m barra.. just thinking out loud. If its 6 biggest fish, and there's Jewies and Mack's in 5 rounds, people will just smash them, and catch one good baz, n all over.

Re: FFF Seadogs 2020 Final Winners and Prizes
Without wanting to create a storm here I agree with Captain6979. Whilst I understand the need for a range of species to count towards the overall points, those of us who target barra exclusively are disadvantaged as is outlined by Captain6979. The bonus point system Matt introduced last year has certainly helped however it is still very difficult for a “barra fisherman” to be competitive for those top spots. I’m sure many of you will say that’s tough go target other species, and that’s fair enough. This is just the view of someone that enters a fish (barra) every month who for the first time in six years of trying scraped into the top 10!

Maybe barra in rounds from all comp time, and Mack's and tuna and queenies in may, June only. July, aug for queenies, and trevally and jewies. That way spread out. Then u watch the competition tighten!! Peeps drop off once teams start banging 120 Mack's n jewies every round..

I think we should go back to the 2019 rounds as per below.
Also keep the point system simple Jewies, Macks & Threadies should all be -20cm and use the actual length for all other fish including Barra.
Round 1, Mar - Barra & Threadfin
Round 2, Apr - Barra & Threadfin
Round 3, May - Jewfish & Barra (jewfish have a -10cm handicap)
Round 4, June - Tuna and Queenfish + Barra
Round 5, July - Mackerel & Barra (mackerel have a -10cm handicap)
Round 6, Aug - Billabong & Salty Barra
Round 7, Sep - Billabong & Salty Barra
Round 8, Oct - Barra & Threadfin
Round 9, Nov - Dam & Salty Barra & Threadfin
Round 10, Dec - Dam and Salty Barra, Threadfin and Powertail

Thanks again for the comments.
Still waiting on some prizes to lob before I can mail them out, but the ball is rolling, apologies for the delay.

Re: FFF Seadogs 2020 Final Winners and Prizes
I've taken the feedback on board, agree that keeping barra at 1:1 is the way to go, and -20 on jewies, macks and threadies
New comp is up, still finalising prizes.

Re: FFF Seadogs 2020 Final Winners and Prizes
Tonic Eyewear has been posted to me today (they were waiting on a factory order), I suspect they will arrive here on Monday, so I will then pack and send the remaining 2020 prizes, should be there by end of next week.
Sincere apologies for the delay.

Got my prizes today. Yay. Great comp and great fun. Mafe a few friends through this group and will keep playing as best I can. I know we could try to improve the comp but it is what it is and we should be greatful for the opportunity to compete and play together.
Great work Matt
Thanks

how many is enough lures, rods and reels. Is there a magic number, considering you usually only catch 1 fish on a single lure on the one rod and reel your casting with.

Two more prizes still to be delivered for Ivan and Trent, everyone else should have received theirs, if not send me a PM and I'll track down delivery details.
Artwork is up for 2021 and I'll start promoting it this week, would be good to see a couple from Kimberley and Queensland this year to keep the NT mob on their toes.
