Southport fishing

Hey all.
Going fishing Down at Southport boat ramp area this weekend.
Anyone been fishing there, any tips or reviews ??

Heaps of rock .River junction downstream not too bad. Deep hole immediately upstream of ramp and big midstream rock near jetty further upstream .

Get some local bait with a cast net if you can, it is almost always better than frozen squid, especially with golden snapper. Livies for barra. Anything can lob up there, including crocs. Also worth chucking in a crab pot, although this time of year maybe not the best.

Went down this afternoon got a little jew on prawns.
Nothing on lures
Had mullet on a gang setup, got something big for about 1 minute then lost it what ever it was it was big lol
