Managed a nice Mack, jigging with the light rod, 15lb braid, 40lb leader and no wire and this fella ate whatever I hooked on the way up, not the first time but pretty happy to land a 112cm Mack on the light gear with a small jig and no wire, lol

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

40 lb leader...
Don't buy any lotto tickets Dennis 'cos you've probably used up any luck that you might have had.

Yeah Ronje, when I called it for a big Mack, everyone said bulls%*t, then they said oh well you won't get that when we first got a glimpse, even a missed gaff shot and had to turn her round again, second go got her, everyone just shook their head, lol.
Used to fish for them with 6kg mono at Lee Point, caught quite a few, but always had wire then:-)

Yet another long hard slog out on the harbour yesterday but was made up for by this bloke (71) who fought like a freight train. Yet again plenty of bait and saw enough fish to conclude they were either not on the bite or I’ve just lost it!

how many is enough lures, rods and reels. Is there a magic number, considering you usually only catch 1 fish on a single lure on the one rod and reel your casting with.
