Re: FFF FotoFish 2020 - March Thread
Jimmy and I were keen to fish some freshwater today, but was a tad over the dip to make it to the ramp, so we defaulted and launched at 6-pack creek to try flick a few spots I've never fished before.. Lucky enough to come upon a few small barra for the morning, with the biggest going 53cm, and a few smaller, and Jimmy was happy to land a nice Mangrove Jack on the troll! Great to give the Shabby-Craft a squirt around after the non-fishing of late.. Weapon of the day was a KO Tail Baitz.... Didn't change lures once... Got crushed by the baz..

Took the daughter for a run to Little West Arm yesterday. Only ever fished there once before so wasn't expecting too much. Lost one decent Barra on the outgoing and seen a few boofs but very quiet on the incoming.

Re: FFF FotoFish 2020 - March Thread
Finally got out for a fish last Friday. Beautiful morning, good tides, water clarity fair. Headed down West Arm way and sighted some pretty reasonable fish. Of course seeing them is one thing, catching them is another. After four solid hours of casting mixed with a bit of trolling and umteem different lures I finally hooked one. I played it fairly gently as was pretty sure it was the only fish I was going to get that day. After landing it I recall thinking this will be a good start for this years FFF brag mat comp. That was until I realised I didn’t have a March edition of the NT News in the boat. Ahhhhh!

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Gday ,, Went to E.P last Sunday morning with a mate from work . First time I seen flat water for a while .
After a dozen or so hook ups the only fish landed for the day was a flatty . Still a good session . Cheers
Jeff
PS ,, hard to beat a good bowl of home grown Toms Matt

Did a night run for my birthday last night to one of my usual haunts at east arm. Managed 2 barra for the night a 58 and an 87. Was slow going on outgoing but picked up on incoming.

wife managed a 87 on the cast today at shady. so good when you see them on the sounder and you tell them "cast right there" and they hook it..

I almost forgot to post on this comp, I headed out to SWA last week and I was surprised the entire SWA/Adelaide/Wiltshire creeks were all full of tannin coloured water. I expected it to clear up as the tide pushed in but it didn't. I couldn't find a Barra but I did troll up a blue salmon which then became Jewie bait. I got this 107cm just before the Powertail moved in and took over.
